Marina Rusch - M.S.

I have been in the personal training business since 1995. I have had experience with a wide range of individuals, all with a special need or goal. I have helped people get into shape; I have trained people for triathlons, and for the Motorola Marathon; I have trained prenatal and postnatal women ( including myself!); and I have trained seniors. I evaluate the client’s needs and goals, and design an appropriate personalized program for each individual – I strongly believe in the personal aspect of personal training, we’re not all the same.

Marina was a senior research assistant at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from November of 1992, to September 1998. She worked in the Department of Carcinogenesis as a molecular biologist studying the molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis in the thymus. Marina has a BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Clinical Biochemistry, and an MS in Bioreactor Systems.

    Certifications and training include:
  • Step aerobics (since 1993)
  • American Council on Exercise certified (since 1994)
  • Aquatic Exercise Association Acquatics Instructor
  • Recipient - IDEA's Make Fitness Happen Award (1995)

In 1996 and in 1997, Marina participated in the Workout for Hope and, for both years, was the most successful fund raiser for Austin, TX.
